Lucien Hervé (1910–2007) is the French Resistance name of the photographer of Hungarian origin László Elkán. On a single day in 1949, he exposed 650 negatives of the Cité Radieuse construction site in Marseille. Le Corbusier wrote to him: “You have the soul of an architect, and you know how to see architecture…” On that day Lucien Hervé became Le Corbusier’s official photographer.
